Why a cooking blog?

Because this is what happens when Joel texts me that he's on his way home from the office...

Joel: Taking off now.

Me: Whatcha want for dinner?

Joel: [driving]

Me: Options include last night's chicken soup, spicy bean burritos with raw milk cheddar, crepes, hot dogs with stone ground mustard.

Me: Or turkey wraps with avocado or sausage and eggs or tortilla pizzas.

Me: Or I could also probably do some kind of roasted tomato and butter pasta thing too.

Joel: [finally at home] THAT LAST THING!

And ten minutes later, he got that last thing:
